This Cookie Policy explains how Backstop Marketing, a service of Taskronize LLC ("Backstop," "we," "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies on backstopmarketing.com and its demo and booking tools. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Pixels, tags and SDKs are small pieces of code that record activity, such as a page view or a form submission, and send it to us or to another company. Local storage keeps data in your browser between visits. We call all of these "cookies" in this policy.
2. What we use them for
Strictly necessary
Security, remembering your cookie choices, keeping forms and the demo working
Providers: Backstop and our hosting provider
Functional
Live demo chat, calendar booking, forms and embedded tools
Providers: Our chat, scheduling and form providers
Analytics
Counts visits and shows which pages and sources work
Providers: Google Analytics
Advertising and remarketing
Measures our ads, ties an ad click to a form or booking, and shows our ads to people who visited the Site
Providers: Google Ads and Meta pixel
Strictly necessary cookies are needed to run the Site and are always on. We do not use cookies to sell your personal information for money.
3. Advertising cookies and "sharing"
Advertising and remarketing cookies send identifiers and activity information, such as the pages you viewed, to Google and Meta. Some state privacy laws call this "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or a "sale." You can turn it off, as explained below. Turning it off does not remove ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
4. Your choices
4.1 Cookie banner and preferences. When you first visit the Site, you can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or choose by category. You can change your mind at any time using "Your Privacy Choices" in the Site footer. Advertising and analytics cookies stay off until you choose "Accept."
4.2 Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of sharing and targeted advertising for that browser.
4.3 Browser settings. You can block or delete cookies in your browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and others explain how in their help pages). Blocking necessary cookies may make parts of the Site, the demo or booking stop working.
4.4 Industry and platform tools. You can opt out of interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance and Network Advertising Initiative opt-out pages, Google's Ads Settings, and Meta's ad preferences. You can also install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. These tools work by browser or device, so you will need to repeat them on each one.
4.5 Mobile. Mobile devices offer settings to limit ad tracking or reset the advertising identifier.
5. Third parties
Third parties set their own cookies when you use embedded tools or when ad and analytics tags run. We do not control them, and their privacy notices apply. You can find out more in the policies of Google, Meta and the providers of our chat, scheduling and form tools.
6. Changes
We may update this Policy when our tools or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we add a new advertising or tracking tool, we will update the table before it goes live.
